I
would like to thank Alish Martin of Antrim Borough Council for giving me permission
to photograph the site. This site is now covered by the new council offices.

Here you can see what is the remains
of an animal shed. The black section is where the wooden structure of the
building has been burnt down.
What is happening here is that
all the locations are being fed into the G.P.S. so the they can have an accurate
map of the site.
This shows the various layers of
soil and are marked with the white squares.
Here is a close-up showing the
different layers of soil.
As you can see from the photograph
the dig was quite large and stretched into another field. Mostly what has
been found has been ditches.
Here they are investigating the
layers of soil.
This young lady is drawing the
layout of the ditch in question and her name is Bronagh. .
This is an Irish name and means "Sorrow,
A Queen held captive in Rostrevor" .
. . .so we had a queen working in Antrim.
